Rotary Club Feedback:
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Ballymena, I would like to extend our sincere thanks for your support of the Rotary Christmas Hamper scheme. As a former teacher, I am very aware of the many demands on schools from various charities and community groups, particularly at this time of year, and really appreciate your continued support for those in need here in Ballymena.
The volume of donations received was overwhelming and enabled us to provide hampers for 400 elderly and less fortunate in the Ballymena area, an increase of 12 from last Christmas. These were distributed via 19 local charities and community groups.
St John Bosco Primary School has been a stalwart supporter of this project over the years and I am delighted that you have been willing to continue with the scheme. Once again, the contribution of your staff, pupils and parents, will make a real difference to the lives of many people in Ballymena this Christmas, particularly the elderly and those suffering from loneliness, mental health issues, homelessness, poverty and domestic abuse.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Ballymena, and those who receive the hampers, please accept our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
