Inspired by the beautiful blackberries growing in our school hedgerows, P6/7 enjoyed a full day of learning all about autumn 🍂
We read and discussed Blackberry Picking, by Seamus Heaney, learning about all of the poetic techniques he used.
We then set off foraging, collecting blackberries and apples from our very own apple tree. The apples were delicious 🍎
With the leaves and blackberries we gathered, we created some artwork through printing.
Finally, with the help of our amazing cooks, we made apple crumble. The weather was just perfect for us to eat it outside!
