Vision, Mission and Values
St John Bosco Primary School is a Catholic maintained primary school which at the time of publication has 107 pupils. It is situated on the outskirts of Bellaghy village, in the rural townland of Ballynease, the parish of Ballyscullion. It first opened in 1936 as Ballynease Elementary School but was rededicated in 2004 and is now known as St John Bosco Primary School. The primary school started out as a two-classroom building but there have been extensions built over the years with the school now having 4 permanent classrooms and 1 mobile classroom. We have a large Assembly Hall, which also serves as the Dining Hall. We have a large playground area and a grass football field. As part of our Eco School initiative, we have a Wildflower Garden with a reading area and a Willow Hut. Our school, resources and outside play area are maintained to the highest standard that we can achieve.
